Founder’s Story
My name is Yuriko. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I didn’t have any of my relatives’ hometown outside Tokyo, so my parents took me to lots of places both domestically and internationally. Thank for my parents, I started enjoying visiting new places a lot since I was small. Now I work for a TV station in Japan, and because of my job role, I had lots of chances to travel and do shoot at many locations from very popular places to very local hidden gems. Also, my biggest hobbies are traveling and enjoying food at restaurants, so I visited all 47 prefectures(states) and visited more than 5000 restaurants in the past 10 years. I truly enjoy traveling internationally, but planning part is not my favorite honestly. At the same time, there is always one place I want to visit in each country, such as Machu Picchu in Peru, Yosemite national park in the US, but I have no idea where else I should go see to make my trip the best out of it. So, what I always do was make connections with locals online, and ask where I should visit. It still takes some time to figure out for researching and make an itinerary. This is the reason why I made this service. I assume there are so many people who are interested in visiting Japan, but what they already know is the world most crowded intersection in Tokyo and something else depicted in Animes. I wanted to make your trip with full or surprise and enjoyable which is not only what you see about Japan in social media and scripted shows. Our trip packege will be “all surprise” style until you get to the airport on the first day of your trip. Still, you can fill out the preferences and places you must visit or you want to avoid visiting if you have any. Lastly, I lived in the U.S. for two years and visited 30 countries all over the world, and I would say most of the places in Japan is safer than any of where I visited outside Japan. It’s statistically true as well, so don’t hesitate if you want to do a solo trip:)
